Tonight I am sitting at home, watching news coverage on Hurricane Ike in the Houston area. Mom and Dad and Grandma are "hunkered down" at home, waiting for it to hit. I feel so helpless here, miles and miles away and unable to assist.
Entertaining Lucy is off playing at a new place tonight. I am disappointed that we did not have a babysitter so that I could go to watch.
Charlie is doing well. After a rough end to last weekend (he went on a 24 hour temper tantrum on Sunday) he seems to be doing better now. I suspect he was either bothered by his teeth, allergies, or a bit of a cold (maybe more than one of those!). We received his pre-transition progress report from daycare and he's right on track with his development. I met the teachers in the Busy Bee room this week as well. Getting ready for his move up to toddlers is so exciting! He really is starting to be bored with where he is-- just as he gets bored with us at home on the weekend if we don't take him out to play somewhere.
We're gearing up for the big game tomorrow-- Ohio State and USC. I hope, for John's sake, that it goes well for the Buckeyes! (Who am I kidding-- I'm the one who has to live with him the rest of the season!)
