Well, it's official. Charlie will have a little brother by early November. The little guy tried to hide, but the ultrasound technician was able to find him. Charlie doesn't really understand what's going on yet, but I bet he will soon.
Charlie loves to be a little helper. First he started helping me unload the dishwasher, handing me one dish at a time. I have to be quick about grabbing the heavy or fragile items before he can get to them. He's not quite tall enough to get to all the glasses in the top shelf, but he tries his best. The other night he was really excited to help me unpack groceries. I guess it was like opening presents, especially when he found foods he recognized. He would excitedly announce each item as he pulled it out of the bag. It probably helps that half the items were purchased specifically because he likes them. Today he helped me put together one of the shelves for his new bedroom. He tried really hard to get the dowels in the right holes.
I hope he still wants to be such a great helper once his little brother arrives!

Charlie will be a great big brother and Mommy helper. He will love bringing you a diaper and powder and paci for the baby. Congratulations on a healthy pregnancy. I hope everything continues to go well!
