Dinner by flashlight

Last night Charlie had his dinner by flashlight. As we approached the house coming home for the evening, a major storm hit. By the time I had food out on Charlie's highchair, the power went out. It came back on before it got too dark out, so we weren't too bad off.

Later that evening, I went down to the basement to get something out of the freezer, and noticed that we had some water down there. For the second time this year, we had water in the basement, but not from the basement. Instead of coming down the chimney this time, the trickle of water appears to have come in from around the front door.
